    2. Film festival: The central day of CFA (Saturday) during which there will be panels, talks, Q&As, screenings, the CFA award show and a party. It is open to everyone, not just industry people.

The event is organised by the Local Bizzarro Association and founded by LB Srl and Montanari PR.

Transport

  • If you haven't bought a ticket that includes overnight stay, these are the options we recommend:

    Hotel Monteconero

    SeaBay Hotel

    Fortino Napoleonico

    Hotel Emilia

    Val Castagno

We recommend looking for a place in the nearest towns such as Sirolo, Numana, or Camerano.

PLEASE NOTICE: the Conero area is still quite busy in September and we advise to plan your stay as soon as you can.

  • While September typically brings warm weather, making the beach an attractive option, please remember to pack more than just bikinis and sunscreen. Temperatures can drop in the evening and at night, especially after a day spent under the sun, and it might feel chilly.

CFA is an outdoor event, in general we suggest comfy clothes, no heels or black tie. If you purchased passes that include activities, we will email suggestions depending on such activities.

  • The CFA (Cinema for All) film festival is committed to sustainability in several ways:

    Supporting Local Products:

CFA prioritizes the use of local products for its events, reducing carbon emissions associated with transportation and supporting the local economy.

    No Fuel Generators:

The festival does not use fuel generators, opting instead for renewable energy sources or grid electricity, thus reducing air and noise pollution.

    Plastic-Free Environment:

CFA is dedicated to reducing plastic waste by implementing a plastic-free policy throughout the festival. This includes using biodegradable or reusable alternatives for food and beverage containers, as well as minimizing single-use plastic items.

    Limited Print Materials:

CFA limits the use of print materials such as brochures, programs, and tickets, opting for digital alternatives whenever possible. This helps to reduce paper waste and the environmental impact associated with printing.

By implementing these sustainable practices, CFA not only reduces its environmental footprint but also sets an example for other film festivals and events to follow.

  • Winners will be announced on the date of the event.

  • The judging is carried out online by our jury, between 15 June and 15 July, 2024.

  • The work CFA seeks is work that leans towards a more sustainable industry, both in terms of the stories they share and production criteria. The focus is on sustainability, whether creative, social or environmental. That means we don't simply look for works with a focus on nature and its preservation, but also stories valuing creativity over profit or productions highlighting less privileged voices.

Branded Content, Fashion Films (commissioned): work has to be achieved through a collaborative spirit between brands and filmmakers, resulting in meaningful and far-reaching audiovisual content; focus on this category is the ability of the commercial industry to produce socially impactful content.

Independent films, Documentaries, Spec work, Student films: independent work can focus on”green” environmental themes - such as climate change, biodiversity or waste management - and on themes emphasising creativity and socially impactful content, which are considered an integral part of CFA’s mission.

Music Videos: we highly encourage the submission of all music videos.

Green productions: productions that meticulously adhere to transparent protocols throughout the pre-, during, and post-production phases will be able to submit for the Conero Award for free.
